What is GLOBALG.A.P. Certification?
GLOBALG.A.P. is an internationally-recognized GFSI standard for farm production. The goal is safe and sustainable agricultural production to benefit farmers, retailers and consumers throughout the world. It is the world’s leading farm assurance program translating consumer requirements into Good Agricultural Practices in more than 100 countries.
EAGLE offers certification under two standards, both designed to support food safety and operational excellence in fruit and vegetable production:
- Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Version 6 (Smart and GFS)
- Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS) Version 1.2
Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA):
IFA v6 provides two audit options tailored to meet the needs of various agricultural operations:
- IFA v6 GFS
- IFA v6 Smart
IFA Certification applies to:

- Over 600 product types
- A wide range of farm sizes and business models
The IFA Standard addresses the entire growing process, which requires Food Safety and Traceability, Worker health, safety and welfare, Water and environmental management, sustainability, and much more.
Operations exploring IFA certification should consider their customer base and market requirements, especially when selecting IFA v6 GFS, which is benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
