Grant of Meat and Poultry Inspection Virtual Seminar
Understanding federal and state meat and poultry inspection laws, regulations, and policies can be exceedingly difficult for entrepreneurs concentrating on growing their food businesses. The HACCP Consulting Group (HCG) is presenting a 2-hour seminar on September 8, 2021, aimed at providing insights to make gaining a Grant of Inspection easier. You will learn how to get your facility ready for inspection and what written programs are required before the regulatory agencies can award a Grant of Inspection.
The seminar will focus on providing an overview of the laws requiring inspection, assistance in completing the needed applications, and the process the regulatory agencies follow to review the application and the physical plant. HCG will offer insights for developing the required written programs including Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, pre-requisite programs, HACCP plans, recall plans, robust humane handling procedures, and pathogen control plans. Presenters will also provide information on product labeling requirements and how to get product labels approved. HCG will explain the ongoing inspection process and what to expect from your USDA or state inspector.
HCG presenters have many years of practical experience on these issues both in working for USDA and in assisting numerous small plants successfully gain their Grants.
